There will be 3 Preliminary battles, 1 in Northern California, 1 in Central California, and 1 in Southern California. There will be 2 entries for each of these battles. The first and second place winners of each Preliminary battle will advance to the final battle. There will be 16 spots for each Preliminary battle. There will also be a chance to enter the final battle simply by filling out the online registration on this blog. Two people will be chosen from the online registration entries. The final battle will take place in Tracy, Ca. There will be 8 beat makers battling for cash money and prizes elimination style. SoundBankSF was created in 2003. The studio was originally a plain room with four walls. Inside that small room "The Vault" was built. The Vault, a vocal recording isolation booth, is a very special construction with over $2000 worth of materials. The design includes a floated floor which virtually makes it a room inside a room. Two doors separate the vocalist/player from the outside. The Vault has two sets of 6-inch thick walls separated by 4-inches of air. The walls are made of dry-wall, sound boar, and thick insulation. The roof and floor also include many layers of dry-wall and sound boar. The result was a vocal booth unlike any other. When you step inside The Vault, not only can you hear the difference; you can feel it too.
